Deck overview

This Jeskai deck leverages Captain America, First Avenger as both a Voltron combat threat and an instant-speed removal engine. By utilizing low-cost mana rocks and early equipment tutors, the deck reliably casts its commander on Turn 3 and deploys high-mana-value Equipment on Turn 4. Captain America's Catch ability attaches these heavy armaments for free at the start of combat, bypassing prohibitive equip costs on cards like Colossus Hammer and Excalibur, Sword of Eden. Once armed, Captain America presents a rapid two-turn commander damage clock per player while holding up his Throw ability to snipe opposing creatures and utility commanders for 10 to 12 damage at instant speed. The list protects its core pieces with free commander interaction, Sunforger tutoring, and phasing spells, and it transitions into the late game through burn finishers like Chandra's Ignition or machine-gun re-equip loops with Puresteel Paladin and cost-reducing effects.
