Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Jeskai Hero aggro-midrange build commanded by Captain America, Team Leader. The primary game plan revolves around casting low-to-mid-curve Hero creatures that immediately gain +1/+1 counters, vigilance, and haste upon entry. This engine applies early combat pressure while accumulating counters across the team. By Turn 6, scaling payoffs like She-Hulk, Wallbreaker, Captain Marvel, Apex Avenger, and Captain America, Wings of Freedom convert this presence into lethal board states, with Raise the Palisade providing a clean asymmetric route through opposing blockers. The deck features reliable recovery and potent protective answers such as Teferi's Protection and Flawless Maneuver. However, because it commits strictly to the Marvel Hero theme, it foregoes heavy stax, fast combo lines, and dense tutor packages, relying on natural card flow and continuous combat steps to close out the game by Turn 8.
