Ellie and Alan, Paleontologists by HoleyCrusader

Format: Commander

Commander: Ellie and Alan, Paleontologists

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a highly synergistic Bant value engine helmed by Ellie and Alan, Paleontologists, featuring Keruga, the Macrosage as a companion. Because of Keruga's restriction, the deck runs absolutely no cards with a mana value of 1 or 2, completely forgoing traditional early-game ramp like Sol Ring or Mana Crypt. Instead, the primary game plan revolves around spending the first two turns using cycling, basic landcycling, and evoke abilities on massive creatures like Titanoth Rex and Nulldrifter to fill the graveyard while fixing mana. Once Ellie and Alan hit the battlefield, they tap to exile these high-mana-value creatures from the graveyard, allowing you to Discover into massive spells for free. The deck wins through overwhelming combat inevitability, generating massive board states with huge dinosaurs and elementals, and burying opponents in card advantage through cascade and discover mechanics.
