Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Smaug the Impenetrable commands a Rakdos damage-redirection and Treasure-engine deck designed to turn noncombat damage into overwhelming resources and lethal burn. The primary game plan accelerates into Smaug, leveraging his indestructible body to absorb massive board wipes like Blasphemous Act and Star of Extinction or targeted burns like Cut Propulsion, generating dozens of Treasure tokens at once. These Treasures fuel game-ending drain effects such as Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Nadier's Nightblade, or power a massive Exsanguinate. Secondary win paths utilize Wrathful Red Dragon, Brash Taunter, and infinite damage loops via Mayhem Devil with Dizzying Gaze or Chain Lightning to incinerate every opponent.
