Deck overview

This is a Jeskai legendary-Wizard spellslinger deck helmed by Gandalf, Party Guest. The core plan is to flood the board with legendary Wizards so Gandalf's beginning-of-combat trigger free-casts high-impact instants and sorceries (X = twice the legendary Wizard count). The primary finishers are a dense extra-turn package (Temporal Manipulation, Capture of Jingzhou, Karn's Temporal Sundering, Nexus of Fate, Expropriate) chained into Insurrection, Call Forth the Tempest, or a decisively pumped combat step. Secondary engines include token swarms from Kykar, Wind's Fury, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Hermes, Overseer of Elpis, plus Niv-Mizzet, Parun draw-damage and cost-reduction stacks (Baral, Chief of Compliance, Mizzix of the Izmagnus, Vadrik, Astral Archmage, Kaza, Roil Chaser). The deck wins by converting Wizard density into free haymakers rather than a single brittle combo.
