Deck overview

This deck is a classic mono-blue spellslinger control list commanded by Talrand, Sky Summoner. The strategy revolves around landing Talrand or a redundant token generator like Murmuring Mystic on Turn 4, then weaponizing a dense suite of cheap cantrips and efficient counterspells into an evasive army of 2/2 flying Drakes. The deck leverages combat-damage card draw engines like Kindred Discovery and Enduring Curiosity to keep hand sizes full while holding up interaction on opponents' turns. High-end mana engines such as Extraplanar Lens and Caged Sun allow the deck to pivot into overwhelming board states, culminating in a decisive overrun via Candlekeep Inspiration or a one-sided blowout with an overloaded Cyclonic Rift. While vulnerable to uncounterable sweepers and heavy stax, the deck pairs top-tier reactive interaction with steady, inevitable aerial beatdown.
