Deck overview

This mono-black deck is led by Ghoulcaller Gisa, focusing on Zombie tribal synergies, sacrifice engines, and aristocrat drain effects. The strategy begins by deploying low-cost Zombie fodder, mana acceleration, and value engines such as Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur. Once Ghoulcaller Gisa is established on Turn 5, she sacrifices high-power Zombies to multiply the board state into an overwhelming swarm of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck translates this token army into victory through lord-enhanced combat damage (Death Baron, Undead Warchief) and non-combat drain engines (Ayara, First of Locthwain, Bastion of Remembrance, Vengeful Dead, and Mirkwood Bats). If the commander is removed, standalone powerhouses like Grave Titan and Josu Vess, Lich Knight provide reliable backup threats. Extensive graveyard recursion ensures long-term endurance against removal, though the deck remains vulnerable to fast combo strategies and dedicated graveyard hate.
