Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord commands a Grixis midrange deck focused on Army accumulation, Ring temptation, and combat attrition. Sauron protects itself with a steep ward cost, generates continuous Orc Armies whenever opponents cast spells, and loots away entire hands to draw four fresh cards whenever an Army deals combat damage. Early turns focus on mana development, token generation, and incidental card draw. Midgame plays assemble potent synergies with Lord of the Nazgul, Saruman, the White Hand, and The One Ring to build substantial board presence. The deck closes games through overwhelming combat damage accelerated by Assault on Osgiliath, extra combats via Scourge of the Throne, or a massive Living Death swing.
