Deck overview

This Bant Commander deck combines The Third Doctor and Romana II into a resilient token-midrange engine focused on historic artifact tokens. By generating an abundance of Clue, Food, and Treasure tokens through pieces like Tireless Provisioner, Astrid Peth, and Sam, Loyal Attendant, the deck rapidly inflates The Third Doctor's power and toughness. Built-in trample ensures the Doctor converts this artifact accumulation directly into lethal commander damage. Token doublers including Parallel Lives, Doubling Season, and Adrix and Nev, Twincasters compound the board state exponentially, while Romana II repeatedly clones high-value tokens each turn. Card draw engines like Caretaker's Talent and Idol of Oblivion maintain hand velocity without slowing development. While vulnerable to mass artifact wipes and lacking dense single-target tutors, the deck applies reliable combat pressure starting on Turn 6 and closes out the table through overwhelming board scale and unblockable combat finishers.
