Deck overview

Gorma, the Gullet is the linchpin of a Golgari aristocrats combo deck. The primary plan is to loop persist creatures through sacrifice outlets, using Gorma's static ability to add +1/+1 counters and cancel the persist's -1/-1 counter, generating infinite death triggers. These triggers become game-ending damage via Blood Artist and friends, or infinite mill with Altar of Dementia. Tutors and recursion assemble the combo pieces, while a back-up plan uses Gorma's growth as a large lifelink threat. Grave Pact effects and sacrifice synergies provide control. The deck can grind value even without the combo, but its most efficient wins rely on the infinite persist loop.
