Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan +1/+1 counters midrange strategy commanded by Anafenza, the Foremost. The game plan revolves around deploying low-cost ramp to cast Anafenza on turn 3, followed by counter multipliers like Branching Evolution, Corpsejack Menace, and Hardened Scales. It converts counter growth into lethal combat through lords such as Abzan Falconer and Tuskguard Captain. Incidental graveyard hate from Anafenza, Grafdigger's Cage, and Soulless Jailer naturally hinders reanimator and graveyard-centric opponents without slowing down the deck's own curve. An alternate infinite life and power combo with Archangel of Thune and Spike Feeder provides an instant win condition if drawn or searched via Demonic Tutor. The deck features an extensive instant-speed removal suite to answer opposing threats, though its card draw engine is lean and requires disciplined resource management.
