Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari lifegain and +1/+1 counter strategy helmed by Willowdusk, Essence Seer. The primary game plan revolves around manipulating your life total-both gaining and losing life-to fuel Willowdusk s activated ability, creating massive threats out of nowhere. The deck leverages evasive creatures, trample enablers, and a dedicated "Lure" subtheme (Nemesis Mask, Ochran Assassin) to force opponents into unfavorable blocks, wiping their boards while pushing lethal damage through. While combat is the primary win condition, the deck features a potent infinite drain combo as a secondary out. By combining Bloodthirsty Conqueror and Enduring Tenacity, the deck can instantly close out the game without relying on the combat step. The deck plays as a resilient midrange build that scales exponentially in the mid-to-late game, though it relies heavily on its commander to accelerate its clock.
