Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Dimir tempo list commanded by Yuriko, the Tiger's Shadow. The primary plan leverages a dense suite of evasive one-drop creatures to reliably trigger commander ninjutsu on Turn 2. Because ninjutsu is an activated ability, Yuriko bypasses both standard counterspells and the commander tax, ensuring rapid, resilient deployment. As additional ninjas and evasive threats hit the board, the deck manipulates the top of the library with cards like Brainstorm, Lim-Dûl's Vault, and Scroll Rack to flip disproportionately high-mana-value spells like Shadow of Mortality and Temporal Trespass. These reveals simultaneously draw cards and deal symmetric life loss to every opponent. Backed by free and low-cost interaction like Deadly Rollick, Snuff Out, and Flare of Denial, the deck protects its combat steps and closes out games by Turn 5 through cumulative burn and extra turns.
