Marchesa by JacobMalley

Format: Commander

Commander: Queen Marchesa

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

This is a Mardu politics/monarch deck built around Queen Marchesa, the queen of attrition. The primary plan is to seize the monarchy early and never give it back, converting monarch card advantage into a steady stream of tokens, removal, and combat tricks. The deck wins not through a single combo but through grinding inevitability: a wide token swarm (Adeline, Resplendent Cathar, Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon, Court of Grace) buffed by Shared Animosity and Flowering of the White Tree, all while a fog/protection suite (Inkshield, Comeuppance, Boros Charm) keeps the queen and her board alive. Political pieces like Xantcha, Sleeper Agent, Crown of Doom, and Curse of Opulence redirect aggression away from you. There are no infinite combos - this deck wins by out-valuing the table over many turns.
