Deck overview

Lyra, Tolarian Archangel leads a mono-blue tempo and combat deck focused on weaponizing high-density card draw into an overwhelming airborne army. The game plan centers on resolving Lyra early and triggering her ability across multiple turns by casting efficient spells that draw three or more cards, such as Brainstorm, Brainsurge, and Thirst for Discovery. Each trigger yields a 3/3 flying Angel token, steadily establishing an evasive board presence. Anthems and counters from Gravitational Shift, Favorable Winds, and Proft's Eidetic Memory rapidly amplify damage output, turning tokens into decisive clocks. The deck supports this aggressive posture with a rich suite of efficient counterspells and bounce effects like Engulf the Shore and Aetherize, disrupting opponents while defending its board. Backed by secondary engines like Chasm Skulker and Curiosity Crafter, the deck maintains relentless card flow and resilient recovery from disruption, steadily overcoming the table through flying combat pressure.
