Life is pain by CirclMastr

Format: Commander

Commander: Oloro, Ageless Ascetic

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is an Esper lifegain control deck that wins by turning every life gain into opponent loss. Oloro, Ageless Ascetic works from the command zone, giving you 2 life each upkeep and letting you pay {1} to draw and drain 1 whenever you gain life. The main plan is to pair a lifegain payoff like Sanguine Bond, Vito, or Cliffhaven Vampire with a loss-to-gain payoff like Exquisite Blood or Bloodthirsty Conqueror to create an infinite drain loop. Backup wins are Felidar Sovereign and Test of Endurance at 40 and 50 life, plus incremental drains and Exsanguinate. You control the table with heavy counters, removal, and stax while you assemble the two-piece combo.
