Deck overview

This is a Bant creature-ramp deck centered on Derevi, Empyrial Tactician. Its early turns develop lands and mana creatures, then use Derevi, Empyrial Tactician to untap mana sources or interfere with opposing permanents after combat damage. Priest of Titania, Elvish Archdruid, Bloom Tender, Faeburrow Elder, and Selvala, Heart of the Wilds provide the mana needed for expensive creatures and tutors. The deck has several ways to find creatures, but its card flow is uneven and its primary engine is not a compact combo. The main finish is a wide board followed by Craterhoof Behemoth or Moonshaker Cavalry. Around turn 8, a sufficiently large board can create a same-turn lethal attack against an unprepared table. The deck interacts well with permanents, but its creature-heavy setup remains vulnerable to sweepers, spot removal, and counterspells before the final combat.
