Deck overview

This deck is a competitive Dimir control-combo build commanded by Talion, the Kindly Lord. The deck leverages dense fast mana acceleration and efficient interaction to establish an oppressive early-game resource engine. By naming two with Talion, the Kindly Lord, the deck reliably punishes opposing mana rocks, cheap cantrips, and combo pieces, converting opponents' standard game actions into continuous card advantage and life attrition. Supported by potent stax pieces like Opposition Agent, Orcish Bowmasters, and Dauthi Voidwalker, the deck effectively stifles opposing tutors, draws, and graveyard strategies while maintaining parity. Once sufficient resources and free protection spells are in hand, the deck pivots into an immediate game-winning finish using Thassa's Oracle paired with Demonic Consultation or Tainted Pact. Backed by a dense suite of pitch countermagic, Fierce Guardianship, and flexible bounce removal, the deck protects its proactive win attempts and interrupts opposing strategies with format-ceiling efficiency.
