Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov lifegain and drain archetype led by Obzedat, Ghost Council. The game plan focuses on deploying efficient lifelink creatures and incremental life-gain triggers to steadily chip away at enemy life totals through drain payoffs. Cards like Marauding Blight-Priest, Cliffhaven Vampire, and Starscape Cleric convert every instance of lifegain into direct group damage. Obzedat provides a self-blinking, resilient threat that enters each turn to trigger life swings while dodging sorcery-speed removal. Growing beaters such as Ajani's Pridemate and Elenda, Saint of Dusk apply combat pressure, while a large Exsanguinate or Massacre Wurm closes out the game.
