Deck overview

This deck is a thematic Grixis midrange engine commanded by Sauron, the Dark Lord. It combines the amass Orcs mechanic with Wraith tribal synergies and the Ring-tempting card wheel engine. In the early turns, the deck develops mana through standard artifact acceleration and lands. By Turn 5, it deploys Sauron, whose passive ability generates an Army token whenever opponents cast spells. As the Army connects in combat, the Ring tempts you, triggering Sauron's ability to discard your hand and draw four fresh cards. This card velocity fuels an army of nine Nazgûl, Lord of the Nazgûl, and Saruman, the White Hand, rapidly growing creatures with +1/+1 counters. Opponents face immense pressure from tall, evasive threats protected by Sauron's restrictive ward cost, while Orcish Bowmasters and Notion Thief punish opposing card draw.
