Deck overview

This Mardu deck is commanded by Isshin, Two Heavens as One, focusing on doubling attack triggers to generate rapid value, explosive token swarms, and lethal combat pressure. The deck operates on a hybrid game plan: it accelerates on turns 1–2 with efficient mana rocks, lands Isshin on turn 3, and establishes a threatening combat presence on turn 4. Doubling attack triggers allows cards like Krenko, Tin Street Kingpin to produce overwhelming armies in two swings, while Impetus Auras and Shiny Impetus generate continuous mana and life drain. To protect its life total while setting up lethal attacks, the deck runs a robust forced-combat suite with Disrupt Decorum, Taunt from the Rampart, and Kardur, Doomscourge, supported by pillowfort staples like Ghostly Prison and Sphere of Safety. Opponents are forced into mutual attrition, leaving them open to a decisive alpha strike around Turn 7.
