Commander: Sauron, the Dark Lord

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord leads a Grixis amass and Ring-tempt midrange deck. The primary plan builds one large Orc Army, grows it with amass triggers and counter-doublers like Mauhur, then connects in combat to trigger the Ring and refill with Sauron's discard-draw four. Secondary paths use discard payoffs (Archfiend of Ifnir, Brallin, Bone Miser) and Wraith tribal (Lord of the Nazgul, Nazgul) for incremental damage and board control, with a reanimator package (Living Death, Animate Dead) to rebuild. Sauron is the card-advantage engine and passive Army builder; Saruman, the White Hand acts as hidden commander, turning every noncreature spell into a large amass and protecting the board with ward.
