The Eagles Have Arrived by user7013486

Format: Commander

Commander: The Lord of the Eagles

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

An aggressive mono-blue flier swarm built around The Lord of the Eagles. The deck floods the battlefield with cheap evasive creatures, uses total flying power to reduce the commander's cost, then closes with a wide, buffed airborne army. Secondary engines turn combat damage into card draw and +1/+1 counters through Vulture, Feathered Fiend and Teo, Spirited Glider, while Feywild Visitor generates Faerie Dragon tokens from commander attacks. Bounce spells and a couple of counterspells protect the board, but there is no true combo: victory is incremental combat damage. The deck functions without the commander as an ordinary fliers deck, but casting the 8/8 for two or three mana is the main way it accelerates the clock.
