Deck overview

This Golgari deck builds a Phyrexian incubator and +1/+1 counter engine and wins through overwhelming combat or incremental poison. Glissa, Herald of Predation incubates and flips tokens and gives Phyrexians first strike and deathtouch, but the deck runs many independent incubators (Glistening Dawn, Converter Beast, Elvish Vatkeeper) and counter doublers (Doubling Season, Vorinclex, Innkeeper's Talent, Hardened Scales). Proliferate sources (Bloated Contaminator, Evolution Sage, Karn's Bastion, Vraska, Betrayal's Sting) grow counters and poison each turn. Birthing Pod and Beseech the Queen find key creatures while Necropotence and Phyrexian Arena keep cards flowing. The plan grinds value, doubles counters, and closes with large transformed Phyrexians or poison.
