Zaffai izzet by Voltar584

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaffai and the Tempests

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Izzet spellslinger deck wins by casting instants and sorceries to grow a board of payoff creatures and attacking. Zaffai and the Tempests provides one free instant or sorcery per turn, but the deck does not depend on it. Payoffs like Wee Dragonauts, Spectacular Skywhale, Nivix Cyclops and Elemental Mascot get larger with each spell, while Starwinder and Pensive Professor turn combat and spell volume into cards. Secondary paths include milling with Exhibition Tidecaller, chip damage from Gelectrode and Tibor and Lumia, and grinding value with recursion. No hidden commander exists; the deck spreads threats across many similar creatures and wins through repeated pumped attacks.
