Homer's Latern~ by Storsaed

Format: Commander

Commander: Homer, the Hermit

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Homer, the Hermit is a landfall-mill commander: the deck ramps, recurs lands, and multiplies Crab-type permanents so each land drop mills several chunks. The primary plan is to keep Homer on the battlefield and copy him with Springheart Nantuko, Phyrexian Metamorph, Clever Impersonator, and Flash Photography; Springheart Nantuko is the force multiplier that makes the mill growth quadratic. Secondary plans mill through Phenax, God of Deception and Altar of the Brood, while Glacial Chasm, Meekstone, and Ensnaring Bridge slow the table. There is no hidden commander; Muldrotha, the Gravetide acts as a recursive value sub-engine rather than a second build-around.
