Deck overview

This deck is a high-synergy Rakdos group slug strategy commanded by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The game plan revolves around deploying cheap, passive life-loss pieces such as Razorkin Needlehead, Kederekt Parasite, and Stormfist Crusader on early turns. When Valgavoth enters the battlefield on turn three or four, these passive triggers ensure that opponents lose life during each of their turns. This repeatedly triggers Valgavoth, growing the Demon into a massive flying threat while drawing three extra cards every single turn cycle. The deck compounds this advantage by playing damage multipliers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Ojer Axonil, Deepest Might, turning small pings into devastating chunks of damage. A robust interaction suite of efficient spot removal, sweepers like Toxic Deluge and Fire Covenant, and goad effects like Kardur, Doomscourge keep opponents off balance while the table's life totals rapidly bleed to zero.
