Smaug by Ishkin276

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Magnificent

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a mono-red Dragon/Treasure deck helmed by Smaug the Magnificent, whose upkeep Treasure and attack-trigger damage (equal to your Treasure count) make him a scaling, hasty finisher. The plan is to flood the board with Treasures from a dense suite of makers - Goldspan Dragon, Ancient Copper Dragon, Xorn, Academy Manufactor, Professional Face-Breaker, and more - then multiply that damage with Fiery Emancipation, Solphim, Mayhem Dominus, and Twinflame Tyrant while chaining extra combat steps. The cleanest kill is the infinite-combat loop of Goldspan Dragon plus Aggravated Assault/Relentless Assault, letting Smaug attack repeatedly for multiplied Treasure-count damage. Secondary wins include Hellkite Tyrant's 20-artifact alternate condition and Terror of the Peaks ETB burn.
