Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis typal midrange strategy commander by Doctor Doom, King of Latveria. The game plan revolves around deploying efficient Villain creatures, triggering combat-step connive abilities to grow threats while filtering card quality, and draining opponents whenever land cards are discarded. Mana acceleration relies on standard two-drop mana rocks and typal cost reducers like Baron Strucker, HYDRA Overlord and Tombstone, Career Criminal. Card advantage is sustained through discard recursion engines like Containment Construct and Moonstone, Harsh Mistress, alongside draw powerhouses such as Black Market Connections and Titan of Littjara. The deck transitions into a lethal threat around turn 6 by landing impactful finishers like The Squadron Sinister, Titania, Proud Pummeler, or Living Laser to overrun opponents with evasive combat damage. While the removal suite efficiently handles diverse permanent threats, the deck has minimal stack interaction and relies on steady board presence to close games.
