Zen Yo Gun by H1GHY3NA

Format: Commander

Commander: Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Zenos yae Galvus // Shinryu, Transcendent Rival, a unique commander that transforms when its chosen creature leaves the battlefield. The primary game plan is to cast Zenos, select an opponent, then quickly eliminate that player through commander damage or an instant-loss effect, triggering Shinryu's "Burning Chains" to win the game outright. The deck blends voltron equipment (Vorpal Sword, Hatred, Summon: Primal Odin) with a dense suite of black tutors, mana acceleration (Dark Ritual, Cabal Coffers, Lake of the Dead), and disruptive stax pieces (Contamination, Opposition Agent). Backup wins include devotion drain from Gray Merchant of Asphodel and direct lifeloss from Bolas's Citadel. The deck is highly focused, using its commander as a linchpin for an alternate-win condition while maintaining a resilient core of removal and card advantage.
