Grismold +1/+1 by user7358082

Format: Commander

Commander: Grismold, the Dreadsower

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari token-sacrifice deck helmed by Grismold, the Dreadsower turns the commander's end-step Plant generation into a relentless value engine. Each turn cycle creates four 1/1 Plants (one per player), which the deck feeds to sacrifice outlets like Carrion Feeder, Viscera Seer, Ashnod's Altar, and Phyrexian Altar - drawing cards, making mana, and pumping Grismold with +1/+1 counters. The primary win is commander damage from a trampling, counter-stacked Grismold, backed by incremental drain from Blood Artist, Mirkwood Bats, and Nadier's Nightblade, plus a token swarm from Tendershoot Dryad and Mycoloth. The fastest line is the Chatterfang, Squirrel General + Pitiless Plunderer/Warren Soultrader infinite loop. The deck is a midrange value engine that grinds advantage through death triggers, counter synergies (Hardened Scales, Corpsejack Menace, Doubling Season), and heavy card draw.
