Deck overview

This is an Abzan legendary-creature and +1/+1-counter value deck built around the partner pair Yoshimaru, Ever Faithful and Reyhan, Last of the Abzan. The plan is to sequence an early wave of legendary permanents to grow Yoshimaru, use Reyhan as counter-insurance when creatures die, then explode through counter multipliers such as Hardened Scales, Kami of Whispered Hopes, Doubling Season, and Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider. Card flow comes from legendary/counter synergies in Reki, the History of Kamigawa, The Great Henge, Tribute to the World Tree, and Mikey & Leo. The deck has no compact infinite combo; it wins through overwhelming combat, typically with a token burst from Call the Coppercoats or Awaken the Woods followed by an alpha strike from Overwhelming Stampede or Akroma's Will.
