Deck overview

This deck is an Orzhov Spellslinger and Aristocrats deck commanded by Silverquill, the Disputant. The strategy centers on deploying low-cost creatures and token generators early, casting the commander on Turn 4, and utilizing the casualty 1 ability to duplicate low-mana instants and sorceries. Doubled spells trigger repartee and magecraft abilities on permanents like Monastery Mentor, Sedgemoor Witch, and Stirring Hopesinger, simultaneously swelling your board with +1/+1 counters and producing new creature tokens. Doubled removal spells like Bitter Triumph and Dismember provide two-for-one creature control, while doubled draw spells like Village Rites rapidly replenish your hand. The deck transitions into lethal threat territory on Turn 6 by attacking with wide, evasive token swarms bolstered by flying and anthem counters, supplemented by life-draining triggers from Melancholic Poet and Debt to the Deathless, closing out the game around Turn 8.
