Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity mono-green stompy strategy centered on Ghalta, Primal Hunger. It leverages under-costed, high-power creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Gigantosaurus to rapidly satisfy Ghalta's affinity-like cost reduction. By casting Ghalta as early as turn 3 or 4 for just two green mana, the deck turns its commander into both an overwhelming combat threat and an engine for massive card draw spells like Greater Good, Rishkar's Expertise, and Garruk, Primal Hunter. Finishers like Unnatural Growth, Zopandrel, Hunger Dominus, and Overwhelming Stampede scale the board's damage to lethal levels across all opponents. While vulnerable to creature sweepers and fast spell-based combo decks, the deck possesses immense raw velocity, resilient backup beaters, and explosive card draw bursts that allow it to rebuild board presence within turns.
