Deck overview

This is a Grixis "crime" midrange-combo deck helmed by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. Every spell that targets an opponent, their permanents, or their graveyard is a crime; paying Marchesa, Dealer of Death's {1} trigger turns each crime into a two-card dig that simultaneously fills the hand and the graveyard. The deck leverages that engine to assemble compact infinite loops-primarily Niv-Mizzet, Parun or Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind paired with Curiosity/Tandem Lookout, and the three-card Forsaken Miner + Goblin Bombardment + Pitiless Plunderer damage loop-while backing them up with Kess, Dissident Mage, Past in Flames, and dense instant-speed interaction. Secondary plans include Hullbreaker Horror bounce locks and treasure-fueled value from Magda, the Hoardmaster and Storm-Kiln Artist. The result is a resilient, interactive combo deck that wins through card selection and graveyard recursion rather than raw speed.
