Thats not pee, thats Gruul! by HOSSMAXING

Format: Commander

Commander: Halana and Alena, Partners

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Halana and Alena, Partners leads a lower-power Gruul beatdown deck whose primary plan is to build a huge, trampling board of +1/+1 creatures and close with Overrun or Triumph of the Hordes. The commander acts as a repeatable engine: each combat it puts counters on another creature and grants haste, turning a single big threat into an immediate attacker. Zada, Hedron Grinder is a hidden commander, turning cheap single-target pump spells into board-wide buffs and card draw. Secondary paths include Savage Ventmaw's post-combat mana to chain spells and Doubling Season to accelerate counter growth. The deck wins through repeated large attacks rather than combos.
