Deck overview

This deck is a Gruul Landfall midrange strategy commanded by Tannuk, Memorial Ensign. It leverages land sacrifice, extra land drops, and graveyard land recursion to generate steady card advantage and burn all opponents simultaneously. The early game establishes mana through a 40-land base and 3-mana land ramp spells, deploying Tannuk on Turn 3 and triggering its secondary draw condition on Turn 4. In the mid game, engines like Ramunap Excavator, Icetill Explorer, and Valakut Exploration sustain card flow while filling the graveyard with fetchlands. By Turn 6, the deck converts mass land recursion spells like Splendid Reclamation and heavy hitters like Omnath, Locus of Rage, Scute Swarm, and Moraug, Fury of Akoum into a game-ending swarm of creatures and direct damage. The deck features strong redundancy and commander independence, though it remains vulnerable to board sweepers and carries limited reactive interaction.
