Deck overview

This is a snow stax/control deck helmed by Jorn, God of Winter that leverages his attack trigger to untap all snow permanents, breaking parity on symmetrical lock pieces. The primary game plan is to deploy early stax effects like Winter Orb, Static Orb, and Stasis, then use Jorn's untap ability to generate a massive mana advantage while opponents are locked down. The deck wins through the Dark Depths + Thespian's Stage combo to create a 20/20 indestructible Marit Lage, or by beating down with snow creatures like Abominable Treefolk. A dense interaction suite of counterspells and removal protects the lock and the combo. The back side Kaldring, the Rimestaff provides graveyard recursion for snow permanents, but the deck is built around the front face.
