Deck overview

This cEDH deck leverages Ob Nixilis, Captive Kingpin as an aggressive card-advantage engine and direct combo outlet. Backed by high-density fast mana and premier tutors, the deck deploys Ob Nixilis by Turn 2 or 3. It converts incremental 1-damage instances from opponents' fetchlands, painlands, and cards like Orcish Bowmasters or Shadow of the Goblin into steady impulse card advantage. The deck finishes games through compact two-card loops—such as Ob Nixilis paired with Casey Jones, Back Alley Brute—or through independent Underworld Breach storm lines with Grinding Station and Lion's Eye Diamond. It protects its combo turns using efficient redirection and uncounterable effects like Deflecting Swat, Bolt Bend, and Hexing Squelcher.
