Deck overview

This deck is an optimized mono-blue control and spellslinger strategy commanded by Eluge, the Shoreless Sea. The game plan revolves around accelerating mana via low-cost artifacts and cost-reducers, deploying Eluge early to accumulate flood counters, and leveraging massive discounts on the first instant or sorcery cast each turn. This allows the pilot to hold up powerful countermagic on opponents' turns while advancing high-cost, game-ending threats on their own. The deck transitions from early resource development into oppressive board control using premier blue bombs like Jin-Gitaxias, Progress Tyrant, Hullbreaker Horror, and Consecrated Sphinx. Once established, it denies opposing strategies through free counterspells, targeted bounces, and asymmetric sweepers like Cyclonic Rift. The finish is secured by locking down opposing boards with Hullbreaker Horror bounce loops and executing lethal combat damage with an enormous Eluge and supporting leviathans over two tight response cycles.
