Deck overview

This deck is an Abzan Toxic and Proliferate Midrange strategy led by Ixhel, Scion of Atraxa. The game plan focuses on infecting opponents with early poison counters using efficient creatures like Bilious Skulldweller, Plague Stinger, and Skrelv, Defector Mite. Once opponents reach the corrupted threshold of three poison counters, Ixhel generates steady card advantage by exiling playable cards from opponents' libraries each end step. Mid-game engines like Bloated Contaminator, Evolution Sage, and Contaminant Grafter proliferate poison counters across the table. High-impact finishers such as Tyrranax Rex, Skithiryx, the Blight Dragon, and Phyrexian Swarmlord accelerate the poison clock to ten. A versatile Abzan removal suite including Assassin's Trophy, Beast Within, and Culling Ritual disrupts critical opposing threats while the deck steadily advances toward a unified poison victory.
