Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Gruul stompy engine built around Etali, Primal Conqueror. It maximizes early-game acceleration with a dense package of one- and two-mana dorks and land-search spells, consistently casting Etali on Turn 4. Upon entering the battlefield, Etali triggers a massive tempo surge by exiling and casting up to four nonland spells for free across all four libraries. The deck exploits this enter-the-battlefield trigger with numerous temporary clone spells and blink effects, such as Molten Duplication, Twinflame, and Conjurer's Closet, allowing repeated multi-spell cascades. High-impact finishers like Terror of the Peaks, Apex Devastator, and Portal to Phyrexia overwhelm opponents through combat and direct damage, while an alternate infinite combo in Food Chain and Squee, the Immortal provides an uncounterable creature-casting win condition. Anti-counterspell creatures and hexproof spells protect key execution turns.
