Deck overview

This deck is a high-speed competitive EDH build helmed by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. It converts life into mana velocity, allowing the pilot to bypass standard mana constraints and cast expensive black spells and activated abilities for virtually zero mana. By pairing dense 0-to-1 CMC mana rocks and dark rituals with premier black tutors, the deck consistently deploys K'rrik on Turn 1 or Turn 2. From there, it immediately transitions into game-ending engines such as Peer into the Abyss, Hoarding Broodlord convoke chains with Saw in Half, or Buried Alive packages enabling Necrotic Ooze and Asmodeus the Archfiend. The deck eliminates all three opponents in a single turn using Aetherflux Reservoir storm lines or recurring Gray Merchant of Asphodel drain. Robust reanimator backups ensure rapid recovery and independent win capability even if the commander is removed.
