Deck overview

This mono-black deck leverages Zombie tribal synergies and aristocrat sacrifice engines led by Ghoulcaller Gisa. The primary strategy focuses on establishing early Zombie bodies, casting Gisa, and using her activated ability to double creature power into a wide board of 2/2 Zombie tokens. The deck converts this token swarm into victory through two main angles: overwhelming combat damage boosted by lords like Death Baron and Undead Warchief, or massive non-combat life drain using Vengeful Dead, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. While the deck features robust graveyard recursion and substantial card draw from engines like Cryptbreaker and Undead Augur, it relies on natural draws due to low tutor density. It also operates at a deliberate pace, requiring Gisa to survive summoning sickness before taking over the game.
