Deck overview

This mono-red Commander deck is piloted by Lathliss, Dragon Queen and focuses on Dragon tribal stompy gameplay. The strategy centers on deploying ramp and cost-reducing permanents on turns one through four, casting Lathliss on turn five, and chaining heavy flying dragons on subsequent turns to generate 5/5 Dragon tokens. Direct damage engines like Dragon Tempest, Scourge of Valkas, and Warstorm Surge convert creature entries into board control and burn, while combat enhancers like Terror of Mount Velus and Utvara Hellkite close out the table. The deck exhibits strong functional redundancy among its big flying threats and features reliable damage-based board wipes like Blasphemous Act. However, it operates on a standard midgame clock, lacks stack-based countermagic or dedicated stax pieces, and possesses minimal protective spells against mass exile board wipes.
