Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses The Serpent Society to turn cheap deathtouch creatures into an asymmetric board-control and drain engine. By deploying early deathtouch creatures and sacrificing them through outlets like Woe Strider or Yahenni, Undying Partisan, the deck forces every opponent to sacrifice a nontoken creature on each death trigger. Because tokens cannot satisfy this trigger, opponents lose commanders and core utility creatures. The deck translates this board dominance into victory through aristocrat drain pieces such as Bastion of Remembrance and Zulaport Cutthroat, supported by alternate combat pressure from Unstoppable Slasher and Fynn, the Fangbearer. While it excels at shutting down creature-centric strategies, the deck lacks stack interaction and relies on natural draws to find key payoffs.
