Format: Commander

Commander: Beorn the Fierce

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a mono-green Bear-tribal stompy build helmed by Beorn the Fierce, a 6/6 trample body who serves as both an anthem and a combat-phase draw engine: at the beginning of combat he puts a trample counter on a creature and makes it a Bear, and once three Bears are on the board every combat draws two cards. The primary plan is acceleration into a wide, trampling bear swarm finished by a single decisive overrun - Craterhoof Behemoth, Triumph of the Hordes, Finale of Devastation, or Earth's Mightiest Heroes - with Goreclaw, Terror of Qal Sisma acting as a hidden commander that discounts the whole curve. A secondary commander-damage line runs through Genji Glove (double strike plus extra combat). Bristly Bill, Spine Sower, Vorinclex, Monstrous Raider, Lumra, Bellow of the Woods, and land-animators like Toph, Earthbending Master make the bears enormous while the mana base threatens to go over the top.
