Deck overview

This Golgari deck uses Pizza Face, Gastromancer to lead a hybrid strategy of Food token generation, +1/+1 counter distribution, and aristocrats attrition. The early game establishes mana acceleration through green ramp spells and low-cost Food producers. By Turn 4, the deck deploys its commander or a primary token engine like Peregrin Took or Camellia, the Seedmiser, turning ordinary Food tokens into animated 3/3 Mutant attackers and growing threats. The midgame converts sacrificed tokens into steady card draw, board growth via Mazirek, Kraul Death Priest, and life drain through Nadier's Nightblade and Dina, Soul Steeper. Around Turn 6, the deck reaches critical mass, leveraging an overrun effect like Night of the Sweets' Revenge or massive counter generation to eliminate opponents in combat across two response cycles, closing the game around Turn 8.
