CHEATER by Jayzis

Format: Commander

Commander: Kona, Rescue Beastie

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

Kona, Rescue Beastie is a green survival-cheat deck. The primary plan is to cast Kona early using one-mana elves and artifact mana, then tap her each turn-by attacking or via Springleaf Drum/Paradise Mantle-to put a huge permanent from hand onto the battlefield at the beginning of the second main phase. Secondary paths are hard-casting expensive Eldrazi/Wurms with Gaea's Cradle/Virtue of Strength, and using Ghalta, Stampede Tyrant or Ugin to chain multiple permanents. Kodama of the East Tree serves as a hidden engine, adding one extra permanent per Survival trigger. The deck wins through one-shot damage: Blightsteel's infect, Jumbo Cactuar's 10,000 attack, or Colossification-boosted Kona commander damage, usually finished by an Akroma's Memorial alpha strike.
