Deck overview

This Azorius aggro-control deck is built around Denzilore Fatehold, transforming every scry and surveil action into team-wide +1/+1 counters. The deck leverages an abundance of low-cost scry and surveil enablers—from efficient cantrips like Preordain and Opt to cheap evasive creatures like Faerie Seer and Nightveil Sprite—to rapidly scale its battlefield presence. Because Denzilore features flash, you can hold up mana for interaction such as Counterspell and Swords to Plowshares, flashing in the commander right before untapping. Once the engine is online, asymmetric board wipes like Wave Goodbye and Damning Verdict eliminate opposing defenses without touching your boosted squad, while Herald of Secret Streams and Abzan Falconer provide unblockable and flying evasion to close out games over two combat rotations. Synergistic protection spells like Loran's Escape and Gods Willing pull double duty by defending key pieces while triggering more counters, ensuring your board remains both resilient and lethal.
